Wellington Historical Society Presents “Florida and the Untold Story of the Cuban Missile Crisis” with Author Michael Tougias

The Wellington Historical Society invites members and the community to an enlightening Lunch & Learn featuring New York Times bestselling author and historian Michael Tougias, who will present “Florida and the Untold Story of the Cuban Missile Crisis.” The event will take place at Wellington National Golf Club on Wednesday, January 28, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and includes lunch.

In this riveting presentation, Tougias will unveil newly released information that sheds light on Florida’s critical, yet often overlooked, role in one of the most dangerous confrontations of the Cold War. Attendees will discover gripping first-hand accounts, declassified details, and rare insights into how events unfolded just miles from Florida’s shores.
