Lunch & Learn – Folktales of Florida: Stories that Connect Us
Discover Florida’s diverse cultures through its folktales! Join Master Storyteller Carrie Sue Ayvar for an engaging lunch & learn hosted by the Wellington Historical Society.
About this event
Folktales, passed down from generation to generation, act as windows into the cultures they come from—carrying with them the knowledge, values, beliefs, and customs of entire communities. This engaging presentation reveals how folk tales and folklore reflect the views and traditions of diverse cultures, while also serving as a bridge to foster a deeper understanding of one another.
Join us as we “meet” some of Florida’s vibrant communities and learn about their people through the stories they’ve cherished and shared for generations.
